Taking a break from the blocks

I just want to share with everyone who has been following my progress with these blocks that I need to put them on the back burner for a bit. I do intend to make them all, but it may be a project that continues into 2015.
I have some other projects that really need to be my priority and with limited sewing time I have to make some decisions on what is most important. I will continue to make blocks as time allows, but I know it won’t be daily. I will post them as I complete them and I will begin posting other projects that I am working on.

My first priority is to make my daughter’s graduation/going away to college quilt. These are the fabrics she has chosen.

The pattern is made of oversized Shoo Fly blocks. This should be fairly easy and quick to piece, but I tend to get hung up on the quilting and binding.

One other project to share is a table runner I finished today that started yesterday as a class with Gudrun Erla of GE Designs. It was nice to get it completed, now I have to decide if I want to keep it or give it away.

I hope you aren’t too disappointed about the blocks, but they will keep making appearances. Thanks for following me on this journey.
